     Emily was born in Dover St Mary, Kent, England, circa 1834. She was the daughter of Henry Ashmore and Susan Marsh. She was baptized in Dover St Mary, Kent, England, on 17 December 1834. She married Matthew Steward on 16 June 1851 in Christ Church, Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Emily died on 4 March 1917 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. She was buried in the Eastern Cemetery, Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

     Henry was born in Dover St Mary, Kent, England, circa 1838. He was the son of Henry Ashmore and Susan Marsh. He was baptized in Dover St Mary, Kent, England, on 7 December 1838. He married Elizabeth Curran, daughter of Michael Curran and Elizabeth Glennon, on 17 March 1869 in St Alipius catholic church, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. He married Elizabeth Sinclair on 8 January 1892 in Balmain, NSW, Australia. He is thought to be the Joseph H. Ashmore who died on 30 October 1900 in Terminus Street, Liverpool, NSW, Australia. He was buried on 31 October 1900 in Wesleyan Cemetery, Liverpool, NSW, Australia.
