     Frederick was born in Rockdale, NSW, Australia, between 1895 and 1896. He was the son of James Napper and Mary Ann Bowmer. Frederick died on 29 August 1916 in Moquet Farm, Pozieres, France. He was buried in 1916 in Ovilliers Military Cemetery, Somme, France.
